In addition to The Lotus Eaters (see post dated 1/24/11), the other May books are Little Bee by Chris Cleve for Manitowish Waters and The Postmistress by Sarah Blake for Winchester. All of these books deal with strong female characters who are faced with moral and ethical choices.

The Postmistress is a wonderfully written book that pulls you into the lives of Americans as World War II begins to unfold in Europe. The story brings to life characters as their lives change along with the changes in the war effort. Really a good story.
