ReplyDeleteMy second reading of The Help was even more enjoyable than the first. The characters really came alive, at times laughing out loud and feeling tears in my eyes, these are women I would like to be friends with during the good times and bad.
We may get stuck on the race issue during discussions but cannot, should not overlook the relationships between women of all ages and throughout the rough periods in history. The bond is strong and can overcome social stigmas that have kept some in denial.
