Hope you all had a good 4th of July holiday.
The month starts out in Manitowish Waters with one of my favorite books, Three Cups of Tea. Greg Mortenson is a mountain climber who gets separated from his climbing partners and finds shelter in a Pakistani village. He makes a promise to build a school and has since helped construct over 50 schools through the Central Asia Institute.
Critics have been somewhat rough on the book but the story is inspirational and really shows that one person can make a difference.
